| Karina Ortiz is an actress known for Orange Is the New Black (2015-2016), Pause (2014), Jazz (2013), and Pushing Dreams (2013). From Santo Domingo, D.R., Karina grew up in New York City, and from a young age, she was emotionally drawn to both music and acting, resulting in her wanting to connect with the world by performing. Karina Ortiz has performed on a number of Off-Broadway stages, but focuses primarily on film and television. Her range varies from roles such as Jewel Madison in Pause, Madeline Diaz in Pushing Dreams, to the Jazz Singer in Jazz, and Margarita in Orange Is the New Black. Height 5' 7" (1.7 m) BA in Theatre, The City College of New York, 2009. An actress of the people, Karina posed in 2008 for uResist, to stand against war profiteering, corporate tyranny, and financial deregulation. |
